Associate Security Operations Center Specialist What to Expect
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Specialist within the Security Operations Center (SOC) for our large-scale manufacturing facility and greater Northern Nevada region of operations. This role will support operational protocols, crisis management initiatives, and strategic processes to ensure site security and safety. The Security Specialist will also provide leadership in driving SOC performance metrics, team development, and process optimization.
In the absence of the SOC Associate Manager, this role will act as the primary point of contact for the Security Operations Center.
- Act as a key resource in the development and execution of crisis management plans and emergency response initiatives.
- Drive shift development through training and professional growth initiatives.
- Develop and communicate meaningful metrics to measure and improve operational execution.
- Continuously refine and innovate processes to improve threat analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Develop, implement, and periodically re-evaluate SOC policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security, safety, and risk management standards while addressing any identified vulnerabilities promptly.
- Support shifts to ensure business needs are met in compliance with company policy.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in leadership roles within military, law enforcement, corporate security, or emergency management.
- At least 3+ years in a Security Operations Center or other Control Center environment.
- 3+ years of experience in physical security, risk management, loss prevention, and/or emergency preparedness.
- Hands‑on knowledge of camera analytics, alarms, and access control security systems.
- Proficiency in coordinating and conducting training events in a corporate or professional setting.
- Proven ability to manage stress and respond swiftly to high‑pressure situations in a professional and composed manner.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey policies, procedures, and metrics to a diverse audience.
