Core Responsibilities- Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure in Data Center environments.
- Deliver repeatable, scalable processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Provide structured updates and project progress reports to stakeholders.
- Maintain high-quality craftsmanship and ensure Data Center cleanliness and organization.
- Adhere to safety protocols, production standards, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Read, interpret, and redline blueprints, floor plans, and design documentation.
- Demonstrate broad understanding of Data Center technologies and infrastructure.
- Fiber optic (single-mode, multi-mode), copper (Cat5/Cat6)
- Rack and stack, racking, ladder rack installation
- Low-voltage cable pulling
- Cable dressing, labeling, and termination
- Seismic bracing (above and below raised floor)
- DSX-5000, OTDR testing
- Copper and fiber testing/troubleshooting
- Fusion splicing (Ribbon/Single, OSP/ISP)
- Programming testers and uploading results to Link Ware/Link Ware Live
- Install, connect, decommission equipment
- Conduct service swaps on live devices
- Differentiate live vs. decom cables
- Create mass labels based on port maps
- Maintain orderly paperwork and service job documentation
- Operate scanning devices and understand the FIM database
- Proficient with basic telecom hand tools
- Strong customer service mindset
- Thorough understanding of job-site safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and floor plans
- Familiar with wiring schemes and wiring test procedures
- Capable of laying out MDF/IDF closets
- Able to manage service work and maintain documentation
- Experienced working in Data Centers and following structured processes
- Reports to Operations Manager and takes direction from various technician levels
Contract position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay And Benefits- Pay range: $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
