Position Overview:

The Laborer Skilled - Journeyman performs advanced construction and maintenance support tasks in industrial and commercial environments. This position requires proficiency in assisting multiple trades, operating light equipment, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Trade Assistance: Support pipe fitters, carpenters, welders, and other crafts by performing semi-skilled labor duties.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other light machinery safely and efficiently.
• Material Management: Load, unload, and distribute materials and tools to crews as needed.
• Site Maintenance: Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
• Safety Enforcement: Model and promote safety compliance and job-site best practices.
• Task Execution: Perform form setting, basic concrete work, rigging, and other trade support as directed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of four (4) years of industrial or construction labor experience.
• Demonstrated skill in supporting multiple trades and operating construction tools and light equipment.
• Knowledge of construction safety and basic OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Preferred Experience:

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
• Forklift and telehandler operator certifications.
• Experience working in refineries, power plants, or large industrial facilities.

Work Environment:

Work performed at industrial and construction job sites, often outdoors or in confined spaces. Must adhere to safety standards and wear required PPE at all times.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Labor Foreman or Project Superintendent. May assist in mentoring apprentices or new hires.
