We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our night shift team. The Medication Technician (NOC) will play a vital role in our healthcare facility by ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and on time during the night hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medication administration protocols, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

• Administer medications to residents/patients according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Prepare and distribute medication in a timely manner, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects associated with medications and report findings to the nursing staff.
• Assist residents/patients with activities of daily living as needed, providing compassionate support and care.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication storage area, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in staff training and education sessions related to medication management and safety.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
• Document medication administration and any relevant observations in patient records accurately and promptly.
• Address and resolve any medication-related inquiries from patients or family members, providing education as necessary.
• Assist in preparing for inspections and audits related to medication management.

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medication Technician or similar qualification preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in medication administration, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of medication types, dosages, routes of administration, and potential side effects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
• Must be capable of handling physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients as needed.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
