REGISTERED NURSE, Operating Room - Part Time Days

Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations in the OR arena.
- Communicate continuously with surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient condition.
- Assist with maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Assess operating room equipment functioning and readiness, obtain supplies, ensure needs met.
- Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.
- Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
- Approaches patient in a kind, gentle and friendly manner.
- Responds to patient’s inappropriate behavior in a therapeutic manner.
- Takes appropriate actions and documents in response to manifested anxiety or distress. Requests Social Service/Pastoral Care as appropriate.
- Gives patient explanations and verbal reassurances consistently.
- Identifies physical symptoms and changes and takes appropriate actions in a timely manner.

- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada.
- At least one year Operating Room experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
