Our client, a leading organization in the engineering industry, is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Data Center Operations team supporting critical infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to operational excellence.

$35-$38/hour
6-24 month contract
Shift
Schedule:
Day / Night Shift
- Manage and oversee on‑site operations of shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operational data, and prepare detailed reports on facility performance and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with IT managers and business leaders to manage capacity, optimize safety, and improve system performance and reliability.
- Operate and maintain critical systems such as switch gear, generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment, and building monitoring systems, including emergency response procedures.
- Assist in projects aimed at increasing facility efficiency and effectiveness, while managing asset and inventory control.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in data center operations or related fields.
- Management experience overseeing technical teams or operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
