Our client, a leading organization in the engineering industry, is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Data Center Operations team supporting critical infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to operational excellence.

What's the Job?
  • Manage and oversee on‑site operations of shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operational data, and prepare detailed reports on facility performance and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with IT managers and business leaders to manage capacity, optimize safety, and improve system performance and reliability.
  • Operate and maintain critical systems such as switch gear, generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment, and building monitoring systems, including emergency response procedures.
  • Assist in projects aimed at increasing facility efficiency and effectiveness, while managing asset and inventory control.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data center operations or related fields.
  • Management experience overseeing technical teams or operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
