*** POSITION SUMMARY
*** The Welder will be responsible for performing skilled TIG welding work in the fabrication and repair of metal hoses.
*** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
**** Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
* Verify orders for correct quantity and hose length
* Perform inspection for correct hose and appropriate fittings
* Determine correct  alloy to be applied to all welds
* Perform skilled welding –following standardized procedure for AMP and RPM
* Learn job related material primarily through oral instruction and observation.
* Visually inspect completed welds to determine compliance with standards.  Check quality and appearance of finished hose.
* Make appropriate repairs to assemblies that do not meet standards
* Maintain daily production logs
* Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self and others.
* Work cooperatively and jointly to provide a quality product.
* Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
*** QUALIFICATIONS
* *** High school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
* Basic welding experience required.
* Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
* Good basic math skills.
* Have knowledge of standard tools, material and practices of welding trades.
* Have knowledge of hose and fittings.

*** PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
**** Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to sit for 80 percent of the day.
* Good hand and eye coordination.
* Must be able to bend, squat, twist and kneel.
* Ability to use hand and power tools.
