What to Expect

Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue through summer term (ending approximately August 2026 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students:
If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

What You'll Do

* As a Production Lead Intern you will deliver projects in improving manufacturing lines, including (but not limited to) associate safety, quality, throughput and cost

* Develop and maintain standardized work instructions used in production by the production associates

* Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with the Manufacturing Process Engineers

* Develop training programs and hiring plans for production associates

* Support of control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the production process

What You'll Bring

* Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, MBA, Industrial, Manufacturing or a related field

* Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and concepts; plus to showing application of these principles leading to real world results

* High comfort level in high expectations environment

* Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques

* Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery & costs)

* Strong analytic problem solving skills

* Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines

* Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success

* Experience in hiring and developing new team members in a production/operations environment and working efficiently and productively in both independent and team settings

* Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills, strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail and fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
