The Battery Cell Manufacturing team is looking for a motivated and energetic Training Supervisor dedicated to leading a team of training coordinators that will instruct new hire and tenured employee training for cross‑functional teams. This individual will work with stakeholders and developers to create world‑class training, helping to accelerate the world’s transition to renewable energy. This role will oversee the Training Coordinator team that directly supports training on different lines in the factory.
The candidate must be highly driven, organized, and have a passion for developing people. You will be expected to challenge and to be challenged, to create, and to innovate.
- Manage the training staff to ensure professional onboarding and training and manage day‑to‑day activities associated with new‑hire training and onboarding teams.
- Work as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team to create interactive instructor‑led and online training for our employee population.
- Work closely with leadership to understand needs and challenges, ensuring world‑class training for production, maintenance, engineering, and any other role during onboarding consistent with KPIs.
- Ensure Tesla people leaders are responsible for EHS assurance functions, including ensuring their teams’ safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards, and empowering others to continuously improve operations.
- Create and maintain standard work for each operation pre, during, and post training.
- Promote, track, and report on continuous improvements of all training programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially experience in providing classroom training.
- Embraces and practices servant leadership, including accountability.
- Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point) and experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with continuous‑improvement culture and methodologies, with proven ability to organize with strong attention to detail.
- Agricultural adult‑learning principles or an educational background is also a plus.
- Command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated strong problem‑solving skills.
