Laborer, Maintenance​/Cleaning, General Labor

Overview

Will be doing light repairs on Equipment, controlling Inventory coming and going to projects, running parts/Supplies to projects, helping with DMV registrations, make sure yard is clean and organized, shop and office is cleaned and maintained. Will report to Mechanical Superintendent at Corp office on duties to be performed each week.

• Light duty repairs on equipment in yard
• Clean up equipment as it’s returned from site and audit for repairs
• Handle shipping and receiving items from the yard
• Deliver parts from yard to any of our project as required
• Deliver parts or equipment to local vendors as required for service or repair
• Help with DMV registrations as needed
• Any maintenance of shop, office buildings and yard area as needed
• Handle inventory stock on work sheet to keep accurate records of parts in containers
• If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
• Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
• Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations.
• Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.

Education:

High School or above

Work Experience:

2 years experience

• Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.
• Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering prints (civil work, structural work, rock excavation work).
• Knowledge and understanding of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.

• Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical. Must Stay
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• High level of attention to detail, neatness and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
