NW Deployment Build Lead , Infra - GND

Job Description

AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing infrastructure operations team. You will work independently in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and support the automation and scaling of our network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include

• Scaling support of several data center locations and day‑to‑day capacity management.
• Providing ticketing system management and workflow to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborating with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate seamless project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
• Troubleshooting networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specifying power and cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Traveling within and outside the regional work area; maintaining a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

On a typical day you will

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts of 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Operate in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments.
• Perform bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ year of computer networking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Data center experience.
• Industry‑standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+, etc.).
• Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.

Location:

USA, NV, Sparks – 27.00 to 48.00 USD hourly.
