Job Description
AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing infrastructure operations team. You will work independently in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and support the automation and scaling of our network infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include
- Scaling support of several data center locations and day‑to‑day capacity management.
- Providing ticketing system management and workflow to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborating with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate seamless project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
- Troubleshooting networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specifying power and cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participating in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Traveling within and outside the regional work area; maintaining a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
On a typical day you will
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts of 41+ pounds.
- Work in a 24/7 environment including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Operate in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments.
- Perform bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Data center experience.
- Industry‑standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+, etc.).
- Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
Location:
USA, NV, Sparks – 27.00 to 48.00 USD hourly.
