As a Data Center Manager in Amazon, you will manage the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure. You will solve challenging problems daily and drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role. You will be a proven manager with experience leading high‑performing teams and refining processes for operational excellence. You will drive performance, build and operate Data Centers, and develop relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Job Responsibilities- Managing and developing teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.
- Maintaining existing Data Centers.
- Helping build and bring online new Data Centers.
- Constantly improving all processes and procedures.
- Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors.
- Liaising with internal teams & management groups.
- Ensuring adherence to and surpassing local Health & Safety standards.
- Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of Data Centers and using them to drive positive changes.
- Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team supports all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that sustain customer access. You’ll collaborate across AWS on safety, security, and capacity management while experiencing an inclusive culture that empowers bold ideas.
Basic Qualifications- 4+ years of technical team management experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a data center technology role or 4+ years of knowledge with Networking or Computer hardware.
- 2+ years of data center experience.
- Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
- Experience in technical writing in a relevant field.
- Experience contributing to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within an operations environment.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
