MONITOR TECH/UNIT CLERK, Med Tele Unit role at Northern Nevada Medical Center, Sparks, NV. This is a full time night shift opportunity.

Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac screen or telemetry monitors; meet communications needs of the department; transcribe physician orders with notation and signatures by nursing staff; prepare and compile records in the department. Maintain regulatory body requirements, policies and procedures and participate in performance improvement activities. Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.

• Approach family and visitors in a kind and professional manner.
• Provide explanations and verbal reassurances consistently to family and visitors.
• Interact professionally with co-workers and other healthcare providers.
• Foster communication between multiple disciplines on behalf of the patient.

• High School diploma or the equivalent, preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• CNA license preferred.
• Must have Monitor Tech experience with reading ECG interpretation and be able to pass a competency test prior to being hired.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Word processing.
