As an on‑site Occupational Health Technician, you’ll be a key part of a safety‑focused medical team providing injury triage, health support, and wellness guidance for the workforce. You’ll work closely with safety professionals and project leadership to keep workers healthy, safe, and productive. What You’ll Do:

A Day in Life Injury & Illness Care
  • Triage and treat occupational and non‑occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Provide follow‑up care based on Evidence‑Based Medical protocols
  • Understand and support workers’ compensation and risk management processes
Clinic & Documentation
  • Document all patient encounters utilizing an EMR system
  • Maintain a clean, fully stocked clinic
  • Communicate with MMC leadership and local providers
Safety Collaboration
  • Work with the site safety team daily
  • Lead “Stretch and Flex” sessions and conduct site walks
  • Help identify workplace health risks
  • Promote employee wellness initiatives
Onboarding & Compliance
  • Conduct new hire drug screens and orientation
  • Perform substance abuse and occupational health testing
  • Attend weekly team meetings to review cases and site updates
Customer Relations
  • Deliver excellent service to employees and site leadership
  • Build trust and foster a positive work environment
Physical Requirements
  • Standing / Walking – Frequently to continuously on various surfaces (cement, gravel, stairs, etc.), indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather. Must be able to run when necessary.
  • Sitting – Variable, dependent on the situation and location.
  • Lifting / Carrying – Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs; occasionally lifts or carries 100+ lbs (patients, equipment).
  • Bending / Stooping – Frequently at 35–65° angles, which may last 30 minutes or more.
  • Crouching / Kneeling – Frequently up to 15 times per call; may be prolonged depending on circumstances.
  • Climbing – Frequently includes stairs and vehicle entry/exit, often while carrying equipment or assisting patients.
  • Reaching – Frequently to continuously extending arms in awkward or confined spaces.
  • Pushing / Pulling – Frequently includes gurney operation, doors, CPR, and loading/unloading equipment.
  • Handling / Grasping – Continuously wide range of arm, wrist, and finger motions (grips, lifts, manipulations).
  • Hazards – Variable. Possible exposure to fumes, chemicals, bodily fluids, fire, extreme weather, violent patients, or bystanders. Strict adherence to safety and infection control policies is mandatory.

Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Current State Medical License at the level listed above, or the ability to obtain one according to the NREMT, State Laws and Regulations, or the EMS/Nurses Compact.
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • OSHA‑30 Certification required within 90 days of employment (this is company‑provided via online education).
