Per Diem Days – required to take call / standby in Nuclear Medicine and NNMC as needed
Salary: $33.57 to $50.35 per hour

Summary

This Nuclear Medicine Technologist is per diem and offers a convenient day shift schedule. Under the supervision of the diagnostic imaging services medical director and department director, the role is responsible for preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic studies according to specific physician orders and department policies and procedures. The technologist performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies, ensures patient safety protocols, maintains all federal, state, local, and regulatory agency requirements, and participates in continuous quality improvement activities.

Minimum/Preferred

Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of ARRTs with certification; licensed in Diagnostic Radiology or Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Willingness to take call / standby in Nuclear Medicine and NNMC as needed.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Receive, relay, and document verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient’s medical record.
  • Corroborate the patient’s clinical history with the procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and the environment.
  • Identify, prepare, and/or administer radioisotopes as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
