Job Summary:

This full‑time Outpatient Physical Therapist position is 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within their capabilities.

Coordinates, delegates and supervises supportive staff. Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities and contributes to CQI. Provides input in budgeting and ensures accurate patient charges. Participates in infection control, equipment training and safety programs.

Responsibilities and

Job Duties
  • Perform assessments on all patient populations (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, adult) and conduct reassessments per policy.
  • Observe and evaluate treatment effect and recommend changes to physician as needed.
  • Provide all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces errors.
  • Formulate teaching plans based on identified learning needs, evaluate effectiveness, and involve family as appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Current state physical therapy licensure.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in all aspects of physical therapy (preferred).
  • Outpatient experience required.
  • Current BLS certification.
