Northern Nevada State Veterans Home is now hiring CNAs - $19.00-$22.05 an hour based on years of experience - shift differential available for weekends and nights too! Patient ratios are low.

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents. Must have a Nevada State CNA License.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure our residents are comfortable and their personal dignity is respected. You accomplish this by:

• Assisting residents with daily living activities
• Providing residents with hygiene and oral care
• Helping residents to dress and groom
• Bathing residents safely and with dignity
• Taking and recording residents’ vital signs
• Maintaining residents’ rooms neat and orderly

What qualifications you must have:

• You need to be at least 18 years old and willing to work well with others, providing outstanding care to our residents.
• You need to be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with your State agency and maintain this certification while employed with us.
• You need effective communication skills to interact with residents, primarily English speakers, with opportunities for bilingual and multicultural employees.
• You must pass the required criminal background and reference checks.
