Project Engineer/Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Estimator with good experience in Low Voltage Systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience in Low Voltage Systems or construction estimation, preferably within the electrical low voltage sector. This technical role requires a deep understanding of low‑voltage solutions, equipment, and applications, as well as the ability to work with product manufacturers to specify correct equipment.

• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Translate specifications into accurate bids.
• Build competitive estimates and understand material requirements.
• Analyze projects for value‑engineering opportunities.
• Manage bid documents such as bid bonds, certifications, and subcontractor lists.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills and manage multiple jobs independently.
• Conduct site walks, pre‑bid meetings, and jobsite visits.
• Collaborate with engineering/design teams and technicians.
• Network with general contractors, property managers, and building owners.
• Deliver product presentations and handle cold calls and follow‑ups.

• Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience in Low Voltage Systems or construction estimation.
• Strong technical understanding of low‑voltage solutions, equipment, and applications.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting various construction drawings.
• Ability to build estimates and analyze project requirements.
• Knowledge of bid documents and project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with CRM tools and managing a sales pipeline.
• Proficiency with plan review/takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, Planswift).
• Strong understanding of networked low‑voltage systems (PoE, VLANs, TCP/IP fundamentals).
• Experience selling service agreements (monitoring, testing/inspection, maintenance).
• Familiarity with job cost/margin management and change orders.
• Relevant certifications (NICET, manufacturer certifications, or Network+ equivalent).
• Existing relationships in the local construction/property management market.

This position is based at the Google Data Center off USA Parkway. This is a Permanent position based out of Sparks, NV.
