SNCs Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as Skill Bridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.
NOTE:
You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.
As a Safety Specialist at SNC you are responsible for a range of technical work across HSE disciplines, focusing on engaging stakeholders, reducing risk, and maintaining related assigned HSE programs. Youll be working individually and in teams to develop, implement, and address employee and stakeholder concerns. Your technical responsibilities will ensure program compliance to federal, state, and local HSE regulations and standards.

- Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD Skill Bridge program
- Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field of study, or 2+ years of safety experience in aerospace, military, aviation, or general industry
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Knowledgeable with a variety of occupational health & safety standards, EPA, OSHA, and NFPA regulations
- Demonstrated ability to conduct a job hazard analysis, site audits, and incident root cause analysis
- Fluency with data capture, data analytics, spreadsheets, and presentation
- Experience with DCMA INST 8210
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Certifications, including Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST)

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $64,853.15 - $89,173.08. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
