Development Engineering Manager – Ichor Systems, Inc.
Base Pay Range$117.00/yr – $155.00/yr
About the RoleIchor Systems is seeking a Development Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic, multi‑functional team of hardware and sustaining engineers. Reporting to a Sr. Engineering Manager, you’ll drive the design, development, validation, and sustainment of electrical hardware and system components for advanced semiconductor flow control products. This role combines technical leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring innovation and reliability across our product portfolio.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of hardware and sustaining engineers.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for successful product launches.
- Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to define hardware requirements and development plans.
- Drive design and development of electrical hardware components (PCBs, cables, sensors).
- Oversee design reviews, prototype procurement, hardware verification, and manufacturing introduction.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to ensure component availability and quality.
- Implement robust DFM, DFT, and reliability strategies.
- Lead sustaining efforts to resolve design, supply chain, and manufacturing issues.
- Work with Quality Engineering to produce clear root‑cause analyses and corrective action reports.
- Develop and maintain engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in hardware development.
- Expertise in PCB design, layout, and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with C/C++ for hardware testing (or willingness to learn).
- Knowledge of quality management systems and engineering best practices.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional engineering projects.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
