Engineering Supervisor (Data Centers/HVAC/MEP)
Location:
Onsite in Reno, NV.
This is a direct hire role with Roth Staffing; no third‑party candidates are considered.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Supervise and develop engineering teams specializing in design‑build services (HVAC, Plumbing, Process Piping, Industrial, Refrigeration, Controls).
- Mentor and train engineers and Team Leads.
- Assign, coordinate, and schedule all incoming projects.
- Ensure Project Managers’ defined scope is delivered per project schedules.
- Conduct application and constructability reviews on projects.
- Provide daily supervision of engineering personnel.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard BIM and engineering practices, including QA processes.
- Participate in performance reviews and make recommendations to the Engineering Manager.
- Support pre‑sales efforts, including system selection, code review, and application evaluation.
- Evaluate potential projects to minimize corporate risk in conjunction with the Engineering Manager.
- Foster collaboration between engineers and other departments.
- Maintain engineering standards and policies.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and project teams.
- Manage time to meet project schedules and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
- BS in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 7+ years of experience, including 4 years in a leadership role managing engineers.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and constructability.
- Excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards.
- Proficient in building modeling.
- Skilled in team development and people management.
- BS Engineering or Construction Management.
- Commercial Construction.
