Job Details: We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong background in civil engineering, site development, grading, stormwater management, and landfill development. Minimum five years experience in the field. You will design, develop, and oversee a variety of engineering projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewerage systems.
- Conduct on‑site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.).
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
- Provide advice and creatively resolve emerging problems/deficiencies.
- Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ensure resulting structures and services are fit for use.
- Monitor progress and compile project status reports.
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc., and deliver technical files and other documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
Master’s degree considered an asset. - Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering, site development, grading, stormwater management, and landfill development.
- Proficient in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Project management and supervision skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- License of professional engineer.
- In‑depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design.
- Strong mathematical, scientific, and IT skills.
- Ability to think methodically, design, plan, and manage projects.
- Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while attending to technical details.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Negotiating, supervisory, and leadership skills combined with ability to delegate.
- Understanding of environmental issues.
