Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finish Grader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining motor graders to ensure precise grading and finishing of construction sites, roads, and other infrastructure projects. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently under various site conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate motor graders to perform precise grading and finishing work on construction sites, including roads, highways, and other infrastructure projects.

* Interpret and follow project plans, blueprints, and grade stakes to achieve desired grades and specifications.

* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the motor grader to ensure optimal performance and safety.

* Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other construction personnel to ensure project goals and timelines are met.

* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operating procedures.

* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns that may arise during operations.

* Ability to lead a small grading crew for tasks essential with final grading, roadway, parking lot, or easements/right of ways.

* Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 3 years of experience operating motor graders in a civil construction environment.

* Strong understanding of grading techniques, equipment capabilities, and project specifications.

* Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.

* Proficient in performing routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.

* Skilled in layout, setting grades with site level and grade rod, and a strong understanding of grades, slope, and roadway build up.

* Skilled in the use of 3D machine control, set up robotic total station, and GPS, use of sonic tracer and slope control.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.

* Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrain.

* Physical stamina and strength to operate heavy machinery and perform manual labor as needed.

* Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
