Special Education Teacher - Spanaway, WA

A full-time Preschool Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Spanaway, WA, supporting a self-contained classroom. This contract role runs through the current school year and focuses on meeting the unique learning needs of young children requiring specialized educational support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to preschool students in a self-contained special education setting
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students' abilities and needs
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and specialists to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies
• Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with district and state special education requirements

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential or certification appropriate for preschool-aged children
• Experience working with preschool students in a self-contained special education setting
