• Demonstrates knowledge of assigned sports fundamentals.
• Organizational and motivational skills.
• Ability to model behavior as outlined in Coaches Handbook.
• Successful coaching experience and training over a period of years.
• Willingness to support the total athletic program.
• Current First Aid and C.P.R. certification.

• Enthusiasm for athletics.
• Availability for all related activities.
• Willingness to attend required training classes.

Additional requirements include hepatitis B and HIV vaccinations if necessary, sexual harassment training, fingerprinting for background checks, and compliance with WIAA age requirements (21 for head coaches, 19 for assistant coaches). A classroom teaching credential is preferred but not required.
