We’re Active Care Group , one of the UK’s leading providers of complex care, and we’re looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our friendly team in Sowerby .

You’ll be working closely with one incredible client helping them regain independence, achieve daily goals, and enjoy life to the fullest.

The Role at a Glance

  • Full-time 38 hours/week
  • Shifts:
    • Monday to Friday: 7am7pm
    • Weekends: 8am12pm

Meet the Client

Join the journey of a motivated and friendly individual based in Sowerby with a spinal cord injury who lives at home with his loving wife and adorable small dog. He’s on a rehabilitation pathway and looking for the right person to support him with:

  • Daily exercise and walking/standing practice around the home
  • Weekly physio appointments
  • Pool-based hydrotherapy (you’ll be in the water too!)
  • Everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, and staying active
  • Walking the dog and getting out and about
  • Memory prompts and gentle reminders throughout the day

You’ll be supporting one-on-one , making a real difference every day.

What We’re Looking For

  • A full UK driver’s licence (essential for getting to appointments)
  • Someone kind, reliable, and naturally caring
  • Great communication and a calm, flexible attitude
  • Confidence working independently (you’ll often be lone working)
