We are seeking a Senior Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This position will play a significant role in supporting our Firm in the preparation, management, and execution of our cases.
ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Civil Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial.
- Conducting legal research and factual investigation.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
- Organizing and managing documents, including creating and managing databases and overseeing document production.
- Coordinating expert witnesses and managing depositions.
- Assisting in trial preparation, including compiling trial notebooks, organizing exhibits, and managing trial logistics.
- Coordinating case management activities and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
- Conducting pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments.
- Review, revision, and approval of draft bills.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal, preferably with significant experience supporting commercial litigation efforts.
- A bachelor s degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- Proven experience in drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and managing complex document production.
- Knowledge of e-discovery procedures and experience with litigation databases.
- Strong knowledge of federal and Texas state court rules, procedures, and protocols.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
