As a Senior Manager, Software Development & Engineering, you will lead and mentor a high-performing, diverse team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll oversee the full software development lifecycle, championing Agile and Dev Ops practices while ensuring effective coordination and communication across product areas.

Your role will involve hands-on technical leadership in Python and Java, close collaboration with Product Owners, End-Users, and Partners, and a commitment to upholding Schwab’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role entails full Agile and Dev Ops model in partnership of SAMS business—actively working with Product Owners, End-Users, Partners—in managing requirements, design, coding, testing (unit and functional), deployment and post-release support.

• Lead a high-performing, diverse team of software engineers and foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, champion Agile and Dev Ops practices, and ensure effective coordination across product areas.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in Python and Java, collaborating with Product Owners, End-Users, and Partners.
• Manage requirements, design, coding, testing (unit and functional), deployment, and post-release support in an Agile/Dev Ops environment.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and support the professional growth and well-being of team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in relevant fields are a plus.
• 3+ years in Asset and Wealth Management.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on work with Python and Java, full-stack development, and quantitative application design patterns. Experience in the financial industry (3+ years preferred).
• 3+ years of proven background building cloud-based products. GCP preferred but AWS or Azure is acceptable.
• Proven experience leading medium-sized teams in Agile settings, driving cross-functional initiatives, and fostering collaboration.
• Strategic thinking, resource management, and the ability to synthesize complex data to develop strategic insights.
• Designs and optimizes advanced support, security, and QA processes to ensure functionality, compliance, and operational reliability.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
