Job OverviewThe Pricing Analyst II supports the execution of the Company’s pricing strategy through analytical insights, reporting, and pricing support activities. This role partners with Pricing, Product Management, Sales, FP&A, and Supply Chain to analyze pricing data, cost inputs, and market information to inform pricing decisions and margin performance. The position focuses on developing core pricing analytics, maintaining pricing tools and dashboards, and supporting day‑to‑day pricing execution.
The Analyst II operates with moderate supervision, applies established analytical methods, and builds foundational skills in value‑based pricing, business intelligence, and cross‑functional collaboration. This role is designed for continued development toward senior‑level analytical or future management roles.
Pricing Analytics & Support
- Support pricing strategy execution by providing analytical input, reporting, and pricing recommendations under guidance from Pricing leadership.
- Develop and maintain pricing analyses related to price variance, margin performance, and execution accuracy.
- Assist in evaluating pricing effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement in pricing targets and margin outcomes.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Build and maintain pricing dashboards, reports, and tools using self‑service BI platforms (e.g., DOMO or similar).
- Support automation of recurring pricing reports by integrating data from internal and external sources.
- Perform standard statistical and analytical analyses to support pricing insights and decision‑making.
Market, Cost & Competitive Analysis
- Analyze competitor pricing, market data, demand indicators, and internal cost inputs to support pricing decisions.
- Monitor manufacturing and distribution costs by plant and category.
- Assist in development of category‑level analytical tools connecting customer, product, and competitive insights.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Support pricing for new and existing businesses, including customer price requests and RFP analysis.
- Coordinate with Product Management, Sales, FP&A, Accounting, Supply Chain, and S&OP to ensure pricing accuracy across execution, budget, and forecast.
- Assist with alignment and execution of pricing changes by supporting timelines, data validation, and communication.
Communication & Development
- Prepare pricing analyses and summary materials for review by Pricing leadership and business partners.
- Support an analytics‑driven culture by explaining data, assumptions, and insights to cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Learn and apply pricing tools, methodologies, and best practices to build technical and business expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in pricing, analytics, FP&A, or related analytical roles; food or CPG industry experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques applied to business problems.
- Solid business and financial acumen with interest in pricing strategy and margin optimization.
- Experience using data tools such as Excel and BI platforms (DOMO or similar).
- Familiarity with statistical or data tools is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across functions.
