Wealth & Advice Solutions Technologies (WAS Tech) develops and operates Schwab's most innovative products with a primary goal of delighting our clients while empowering them to meet their financial objectives. We are seeking a Platform architect responsible for defining the strategies, standards, mechanisms, and architecture building blocks that enable Schwab to achieve firm-wide reuse of key capabilities, products, and technology stacks.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years’ experience building and running applications in the public cloud, including experience with a cloud migration. GCP knowledge is preferred
• Strong knowledge on GenAI technologies, capabilities and tools including experiences related to building enterprise level GenAI applications
• Professional experience building distributed scalable enterprise-class applications using responsive web technologies
• Extensive experience integrating with third-party solutions seamlessly
• Experience with technology governance and navigating cross-enterprise review boards
• Knowledge of enterprise technology landscape (Java or .Net, JavaScript, HTTP, Relational and No
  
  SQL, Analytics, Web APIs, Desktop Clients) from Web to Mobile - front end to backend.
• Experience with Architecture patterns (e.g. microservices, GoF, SOA, Event based)
• Experience with infrastructure scaling (e.g. load distribution, SDN, horizontal, vertical)
• Experience with Cloud Native (12-Factor) and Infrastructure Patterns
• Agile Methodology knowledge and/or Scrum training or certification, with experience leading in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience and strong bias toward understanding the end-to-end architecture
• Experience developing strategic roadmaps and communicating strategies for teams.
