Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Southlake, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger processes, account reconciliation, and month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

- Record financial transactions accurately in the general ledger.

- Reconcile accounts, summarize activity, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

- Oversee and manage corporate accounts payable operations.

- Analyze and interpret the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements, including underlying accounts and activities.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend actionable solutions.

- Handle intercompany journal entries across multiple legal entities.

- Consistently aim to exceed goals and expectations through attention to detail and dedication.

- Participate in month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial data.

- Perform additional accounting tasks as required. Requirements - Proficiency in corporate tax regulations and filings.

- Solid understanding of sales tax principles and practices.

- Experience preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns.

- Demonstrated skill in creating and posting journal entries.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger operations.

- Ability to analyze and improve accounting processes.

- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
