Senior Executive Recruiter at LHH/Parker and Lynch
LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager to join a well-established, growing organization operating in a highly regulated environment. This role will sit within a collaborative accounting and finance team and will play a key role in overseeing core accounting operations, leading the close and reporting process, improving internal workflows, and supporting leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in GAAP accounting, prior people leadership experience, and a mindset focused on process optimization and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including revenue, accounts payable and accruals, accounts receivable, capital expenditures, operating expenses, R&D-related accounting, and the general ledger
- Support the monthly, semi-annual, and annual close and financial reporting processes
- Assist with treasury-related accounting activities, including cash management and reconciliations
- Design, implement, and enhance standardized accounting workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
- Partner with leadership on budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax-related filings
- Coordinate and prepare audit schedules and respond to requests from external auditors for annual audits and interim reviews
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team, including hiring, training, performance management, and career development
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher
- 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a people management role
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial close processes
- CPA strongly preferred; public accounting background (Big 4 or similar) is a plus
- Exposure to taxation and audit coordination preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work independently while fostering a team-oriented culture
- High level of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information
