Responsibilities

Yarde Metals is looking for a bar puller to join our Operations Team. A bar puller fills customer orders by selecting a variety of bar stock material from inventory and preparing it for shipment.

• SAFETY FIRST!
• Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes.
• Organize work tickets according to location and material type.
• Retrieve material from inventory system according to work ticket specifications.
• Verify material location, condition, and specifications on inventory tags to work ticket.
• Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Record and report inventory discrepancies.
• Tag drops and return to appropriate location.
• Prepare orders for shipment and construct skids using powered hand tools.
• Stage orders in assign locations for truck loading.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as instructed by supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• History of working safely and productively.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers.
• Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position.
• Willingness to work required overtime.
