Responsibilities

Yarde Metals is looking for truck loader/forklift material handler to join our Operations Team. A loader is responsible for safely loading finished products onto trucks for next day delivery.

• SAFETY FIRST!
• Identify material for loading by matching sales order numbers to shipping tags.
• Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes.
• Transport material from zoned areas to appropriate delivery vehicles.
• Properly load material onto trucks as to avoid shifting and damage.
• Continually adjust loads as needed.
• Move trucks in and out of loading zones.
• Verify all material is loaded.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as instructed by supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• History of working safely and productively.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers.
• Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position.
• Willingness to work required overtime.
