Yarde Metals is looking for a material handler to join our Operations Team. A material handler moves material throughout the warehouse by safely operating a forklift, side loader, and overhead crane. The material handler selects material according to work order instructions.

• Organize pull tickets according to location and material type and retrieve material from inventory racking system.
• Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes).
• Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Transport and locate material into the inventory racking system.
• Deliver material to designated saw locations for processing.
• Record and report any inventory discrepancies.
• Conduct final inspections to ensure the correct material was pulled for machine operators.
• Tag and return material drops from processed jobs into appropriate locations.
• Stage completed orders in appropriate shipping and loading zones for delivery.
• Prepare and dispose of scrap.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisor.

• History of working safely and productively.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required.
• Must be able to read and understand basic measurement functions (ruler, caliper, etc.).
• Dependable, punctual, and works well with others.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand, and carry out work instructions in English.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position.
  • Ability to pass a human performance evaluation to meet physical requirements of the job (lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing, pulling, etc.).
• Willingness to work required overtime.
