Roles & Responsibilities
As a Service Now Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and ensuring the scalable, secure, and optimized use of the Service Now platform across an enterprise. They act as the technical authority for all platform-related decisions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert, squad point of contact, and champion for Service Now
- Lead the solution, design, development, testing, and deployment of custom services in Service Now in compliance with required system processes and procedures, working with other team members and partners across the organization as needed.
- Define the solutions and realize architecture blueprint into solution components with a focus on business benefit/value.
- Define architect strategy and patterns commonly used within Service Now.
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality products to our users.
- Work with a strong set of teams to improve developing and deploying applications and customizations.
- Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite.
- Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing.
- Collaborate day‑to‑day with an energetic team of like‑minded developers, product managers and quality engineers using agile software development methodology.
- Deploy applications via automation with configuration management tools.
- Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the team.
- Code review and guide Junior Developers on their work and career journey.
