The Inspector I will perform entry-level visual inspections and basic functional testing. Responsibilities include ensuring company products meet internal and external specifications through routine and non-routine inspections and evaluations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies per inspection plans and specifications.
- Follow procedural requirements to maintain compliance with applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g., cGMP).
- Support the paper document archival process, including preparation and scanning of documents for electronic archival.
- Initiate Non-Conformance reports as required.
- Assist with NC and CAPA activities as needed.
- Work on special projects as they arise.
- Basic computer skills for regular access and documentation.
- Basic written and oral communication skills to interact with team members and understand instructions.
- Ability to perform inspection tasks using microscopes, calipers, and micrometers, completing 10–15 inspections.
- Knowledge of medical device regulations and FDA standards preferred.
Education and Experience
- High School graduate or GED equivalent; AA or Technical Degree preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Essential job functions performed in an office environment.
- Long periods of sitting required for data entry and analysis.
- Manual dexterity required to operate standard office equipment.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Travel less than 5% of the time.
