Position Summary

The Inspector I will perform entry-level visual inspections and basic functional testing. Responsibilities include ensuring company products meet internal and external specifications through routine and non-routine inspections and evaluations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies per inspection plans and specifications.
  • Follow procedural requirements to maintain compliance with applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g., cGMP).
  • Support the paper document archival process, including preparation and scanning of documents for electronic archival.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance reports as required.
  • Assist with NC and CAPA activities as needed.
  • Work on special projects as they arise.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Basic computer skills for regular access and documentation.
  • Basic written and oral communication skills to interact with team members and understand instructions.
  • Ability to perform inspection tasks using microscopes, calipers, and micrometers, completing 10–15 inspections.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations and FDA standards preferred.
Minimum Qualifications ,

Education and Experience
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent; AA or Technical Degree preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Work Environment
  • Essential job functions performed in an office environment.
  • Long periods of sitting required for data entry and analysis.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate standard office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel less than 5% of the time.
