Banking Associate – Southington, CT (Queen Street)
Work Location: Southington, Connecticut, United States of America
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay: $22.00 - $27.75 USD per hour

Job DescriptionThe Banking Associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth & Scope- Processes customer transactions, opens new accounts, and educates customers on all banking products and services.
- Delivers end‑to‑end advice, building trust, providing consultative support, and offering proactive insights and recommendations.
- Utilizes TD's systems and tools to engage with customers, deepening relationships through advice and guidance.
- Identifies opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, or referral to appropriate team member.
- Completes everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform, uncovering customer needs.
- Serves customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday transactions, debit/credit card issues, Regulation E, mobile and online banking.
- Manages lead generation activities, including self‑generated leads, partner or campaign leads, outbound calls, SMS outreach, appointments, and lead prioritization.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year customer service experience (volunteering, education, or military preferred).
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Availability during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Teller experience preferred.
- Must complete teller training and Part 1 of platform training upon hire.
- Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—concise, clear, consistent.
- Effective problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to schedule and prioritize work, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment in decision making.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Notary license preferred.
- Consistently provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products.
- Establishes and nurtures customer relationships through product knowledge and active listening.
- Manages wait times and schedules client meetings.
- Acts as first contact for inquiries and orchestrates walk‑in traffic.
- Supports the bank’s customer service strategy and considers impact on stakeholders.
- Drives referrals to store colleagues and partners.
- Ensures tasks are performed within policy and procedure.
- Completes all required compliance‑related training.
- Follows compliance and risk programs, and responds promptly to external audit requests.
- Adheres to TD Code of Conduct.
- Ensures compliance with operating activities in line with company guidelines and regulations.
- Accurately processes cash, deposit, withdrawal, and other account servicing requests.
- Handles everyday transaction decisions such as opening/closing accounts, depositing checks, reordering debit cards, and updating information.
- Applies customer authentication, compliance regulations, and due diligence to new account openings.
- Maintains cash drawers, balance, and security protocols.
- Follows policy and procedure for customer authentication and dual control when required.
- Contributes to a positive work environment aligned with TD culture.
- Participates in performance and development activities.
- Acts as a brand champion internally and externally.
- Collaborates with team members to support organizational success.
