Tech Electric Company is hiring a skilled Journeyman Electrician to lead and execute electrical work on a variety of commercial and retail construction projects. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys both hands‑on work and guiding a team. You'll be responsible for high‑quality rough and finish installations while also mentoring apprentices and possibly running a small crew. • Perform rough‑in and finish electrical work in commercial and retail environments
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
• Install conduit, wiring, lighting systems, and switch gear
• Work safely on lifts, ladders, and at heights
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve issues efficiently
• Collaborate with project leads and coordinate small crews (2–5 electricians, if applicable)
• Mentor and train apprentice electricians in field practices and safety standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards

• Must have a valid MI Journeymen License
• 2+ years of commercial and industrial electrical experience
• Proficient in both rough and finished electrical installation
• Experience working at heights using lifts and ladders
• Ability to lead and manage a small team (preferred for more experienced hires)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation required
• Residential‑only experience is not applicable

• Full‑Time, On‑Site
• Occasional weekend work and overtime depending on project demands

• On‑site at commercial job sites throughout Michigan
• Reliable transportation to job sites is required
