Your Role and ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development
Receive hands-on training in Urology and Gynecology procedures, including endometrial biopsy, colposcopy, and other diagnostic techniques.
Build expertise in outpatient care for urologic and gynecologic conditions under the guidance of experienced physicians and a collaborative care team.
Perform comprehensive evaluations, including history-taking, physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Diagnose and manage urologic conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), overactive bladder (OAB), kidney stones, and urinary retention.
Support preoperative and postoperative care for urologic and gynecologic procedures.
Conduct or assist with specialized urologic procedures, including:
Urodynamic testing and bladder function assessments.
Intravesical instillations for interstitial cystitis or bladder cancer (per state regulations).
Bladder ultrasound imaging and other diagnostic tools.
Train in gynecologic procedures, such as endometrial biopsy and colposcopy for cervical evaluation.
Provide personalized education on urologic and gynecologic health, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care strategies.
Counsel patients on bladder training and techniques to prevent recurrent conditions.
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary setting to deliver patient-centered care.
Participate in case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and team-based care planning.
What You Bring EducationMasters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Certification & LicensureCertified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with active, unrestricted licensure in Michigan.
