What You’ll Do

The Director of Marketing is a strategic and hands‑on leader responsible for driving brand awareness, patient acquisition through existing and new channels, and supporting patient retention across a 230+ location dental support organization. This role oversees the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the DSO’s growth objectives, including digital marketing, brand and reputation management, and high‑growth marketing initiatives.

This position is located at our corporate office in Southfield, MI and has a hybrid schedule of Monday‑Thursday in office and Friday remote.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orientating and training team members and developing personal growth.
  • Delivers performance feedback and reviews in a timely manner and distributes compensation adjustments according to company standards and policies.
  • Coaches and disciplines team members in a timely manner when needed.
  • Manages timecards to ensure correct payments and PTO banks are maintained.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels.
  • Strong analytical mindset and experience using data to optimize functional area performance and ROI.
  • Deep understanding of the dental landscape, including health plans, HIPAA‑compliant practices and patient communication guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop marketing strategy with CGO and execute, aligned with business objectives of GEDC, on new patient growth, increasing brand awareness, campaign development, and reputation management.
  • Lead functional marketing area KPI performance analytics and reporting, ensure team and partner leadership and accountability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align and lead enterprise‑level marketing initiatives and/or campaign development for high growth opportunities.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to inform strategy and investments.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget to ensure on‑budget performance and return on investments consistent with goals of GEDC.
  • Lead cross‑functional alignment on campaign development, vendor integrations, reporting, communication, and KPI tracking.
  • All other tasks requested by Manager.
Strategic and Analytical Skills
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels.
  • Strong analytical mindset and experience using data to optimize functional area performance and ROI.
Healthcare/Dental Marketing Knowledge and Experience
  • Deep understanding of the dental landscape, including health plans, HIPAA‑compliant practices and patient communication guidelines.
  • Knowledge of patient journey mapping, from awareness campaigns through appointment and retention.
  • Digital and local marketing expertise.
  • Proficient in SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, CRM tools, GBP optimization and best practices.
  • Experience with call tracking and lead attribution in a matrixed/multi‑location setting.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration and strong project management skills, including executive‑level presentation.
  • Skilled in brand management and storytelling across platforms and channels.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree:
    Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field.
  • 7–10 years experience in marketing roles.
  • 3–5 years experience in leadership.
