Reagent Manufacturing Technician Job Southfield area,Michigan USA,Manufacturing / Production

Lumigen is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to assist Manufacturing Scientists with manual aspects of handling medical diagnostic reagent formulations and chemical processes including filtration, purification, transportation, storage, and preparation for shipping/receiving following standard operating procedures in an ISO 9001 facility. Lumigen produces medical diagnostic reagents that are utilized in over two billion clinical tests per year. This position will allow the successful candidate to touch the lives of millions of patients worldwide in a profoundly meaningful way.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean and safe lab environment in compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.

Follow written procedures to safely handle, dispense, and package reagents for medical diagnostics.

Safely work with hazardous chemicals.

Effectively work and communicate with Chemists and others.

Order and maintain appropriate stock of lab supplies.

Meet production schedules to maintain on-time delivery to the customer.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

Passing and maintaining certification for using a lift truck (forklift or powered pallet jack).

Basic experience with work productivity software (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in mechanical/technical work and laboratory environments.

This position is onsite, Shift Time: ~8AM-5PM EST, with occasional OT with prior approval.
