Collins Einhorn Farrell PC (CEF) seeks a highly skilled Litigation Attorney with 4 or more years of experience, to handle complex liability matters involving personal and property damage claims. The majority of cases in this docket are high-exposure and require above-average legal acumen, problem solving abilities and strategic thinking.
About the RoleOur litigation attorneys are comfortable communicating with in-house counsel, are intellectually flexible, able to react to a litigation landscape that can change rapidly. The desired skills include:
- Ability to react to a litigation landscape that can change rapidly
- Demonstrated ability to depose a range of expert witnesses
- Have significant experience participating in facilitations and mediations
- Trial representation
You will work closely with a collaborative team of seasoned litigation attorneys and practice in both state and federal courts. You will also be provided the ability to participate in business development training and legal development, while enjoying a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Research and analyze complex legal issues
- Draft compelling appellate briefs, motions, and other submissions
- Prepare for and present oral arguments in state and federal courts
- The ability to collaborate with colleagues on case strategy
- Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership through writing and presentations
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Michigan (or eligible for admission)
- Exceptional legal research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills
- Strong oral advocacy and public speaking abilities
- Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for challenging legal work
- Prior litigation experience in state or federal courts
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex legal issues into concise, persuasive arguments
