About the Role

Ultimate Staffing is seeking experienced Legal Secretaries and Legal Assistants to support our local Detroit, MI clients. These opportunities vary from project-based to full‑time open positions. Please submit your resume for consideration.

Base Pay Range

$23.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic.
  • Schedule meetings, hearings, and court appearances; manage attorney calendars.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties professionally and promptly.
  • Perform legal research and assist with case preparation as needed.
  • Handle billing, time entry, and expense tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and legal procedures.
Qualifications
  • Legal Secretary: 2+ years in a legal administrative role.
  • Legal Assistant: 2+ years supporting attorneys or legal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with court filing systems and e‑filing procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and processes.
