Paralegal

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. This role involves providing critical support to attorneys specializing in insurance defense and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in legal drafting, trial preparation, and case management to ensure efficient and accurate legal processes.

Responsibilities:

- Support attorneys in insurance defense and litigation cases by conducting thorough legal research and preparing case materials.

- Draft legal documents, including discovery responses, pleadings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

- Manage case files and maintain organized records using case management software.

- Assist in trial preparation by gathering evidence, preparing exhibits, and coordinating witness schedules.

- Monitor deadlines and court requirements to ensure timely filings and adherence to procedural rules.

- Collaborate with attorneys to develop effective strategies for case resolution.

- Conduct discovery processes, including document review and analysis.

- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to facilitate case progression.

- Provide administrative support for litigation proceedings, including scheduling and maintaining calendars. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense or litigation.

- Proficiency in civil litigation procedures and trial preparation.

- Familiarity with discovery processes and legal research techniques.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple case files simultaneously.

- Experience using case management software to maintain accurate and accessible records.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and interacting with stakeholders.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of legal work.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members.
