Join team CARFAX as a Network Engineer (Cloud Team).

CARFAX Network Engineering is a highly collaborative, diverse, and distributed team that works to support and improve our network, collaborating with multiple internal technical teams on projects and evolving network capabilities with new technologies to make our network secure, fast, and reliable.
The CARFAX Network Team is fun‑loving and low‑stress with minimal on‑call responsibilities. We provide a well‐developed onboarding process to ease you into your new job. This position requires 3 in‑office days subject to change with future business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing- Scaling AWS:
Help manage our primary cloud network infrastructure in AWS, including VPC sizing, Transit Gateway, R53, and Direct Connect. You’ll be a key participant in planning sessions to help shape how our network scales. - Multi‑Cloud Access:
Ensure seamless, secure network access across AWS, Azure, and GCP footprints. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with multiple providers. - Infrastructure as Code:
Use Terraform to manage our infrastructure;
Python skills are beneficial to help automate and standardize regular work. - Security:
Protect our traffic using WAF and Firewall Manager, and explore new technologies such as Lattice and other service‑based network constructs. - Practical Problem Solving:
Diagnose routing issues and keep our production environment healthy. - Participate in on‑call rotations.
- Have fun, learn and grow!
- Foundational knowledge of traditional networking (switching, routing, BGP, ACLs, etc.).
- Ability to operate effectively in a multi‑vendor environment.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS networking, primarily managed through Terraform.
- 2+ years of experience with Azure and GCP.
- Real‑world experience with large cloud deployments supporting internet‑delivered products.
