We're seeking a Business Analyst with strong healthcare domain experience to lead discovery, documentation, and planning around how clinical and administrative users leverage Windows-based endpoints (desktop, laptop, tablet) across regional networks. This role will map current-state workflows, device usage, and management practices (including Intune and related endpoint management), then partner with technical leaders to frame a scalable plan for the next year and beyond.
The BA will drive onsite walkthroughs, user and engineer interviews, produce high‑quality documentation and diagrams, and help orchestrate a clear roadmap for device standardization, governance, and workflow optimization.
- Conduct onsite walkthroughs at main campuses (GR & East Lansing).
- Lead structured interviews with clinical and administrative users to capture real-world workflows and pain points.
- Meet with regional engineering teams to understand how devices are configured, managed, and supported.
- Document current‑state workflows for clinical and non‑clinical personas, focusing on how needs translate into Windows OS endpoints.
- Inventory and categorize device types (desktop/laptop/tablet) in use across regions (targeting ~12‑15 device profiles) and their operational contexts.
- Produce process maps, swimlanes, RACI, and architecture/management diagrams (e.g., Intune policy flow, provisioning, update rings).
- Assess endpoint management approaches (with emphasis on Microsoft Intune, GPO/ADK overlaps, compliance baselines, app deployment, and patching).
- Identify regional variations; propose standardization options and a governance framework that respects clinical realities.
Frame the program: define scope, phases, milestones, success metrics, and dependencies for a 12+ month initiative.
Recommend near‑term quick wins and longer‑term roadmap items (e.g., image rationalization, policy harmonization, workflow optimization).
Deliverables & Communication- Produce clear, actionable documentation, including current/future state, gap analysis, and risk/issue logs.
- Create Excel‑based inventories, matrices, and trackers; maintain a living artifact repository.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership; take technical direction from the technical lead while driving BA outcomes independently.
- 7‑10+ years Business Analysis experience, with healthcare provider or payer exposure (understanding of roles across a health organization and clinical vs. administrative workflows).
- Demonstrated experience documenting endpoint/device workflows, particularly on Windows OS, within complex regional or multi‑entity networks.
- Strong grasp of endpoint management fundamentals; working knowledge of Microsoft Intune (policy, compliance, packaging, update rings, device groups) is required; hands‑on depth is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to plan and structure multi‑quarter programs: scoping, backlog creation, sequencing, and stakeholder alignment.
- Excellent documentation skills: process maps, architecture & management diagrams, interview guides, and concise executive summaries.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation, data validation) and proficiency with diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro).
- Strong facilitation and interviewing skills with clinicians, admins, and engineers; comfortable navigating ambiguity and regional variations.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence; able to consume direction from technical leadership and deliver independently.
- Experience in large health systems or post‑merger/joint‑venture environments with regional device variance.
- Familiarity with device provisioning/imaging, application packaging, and Windows update/patch processes.
- Exposure to security and compliance baselines for healthcare endpoints (e.g., MFA, disk encryption, local admin controls, privileged access patterns).
- Change management and training artifact creation for clinical and non‑clinical audiences.
- Healthcare Workflow Analysis on Windows Endpoints.
