Position Summary
The Tax Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning across both direct and indirect tax areas. This role partners closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate tax filings, effective tax strategies, and ongoing compliance. The Tax Manager will also oversee income tax and sales/use tax audits, support tax provision processes, and identify tax savings and risk‑mitigation opportunities.

- Prepare and review tax provision files, quarterly estimated payments, and income tax returns prepared by external tax advisors.
- Manage relationships with external tax professionals and review work for accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate income tax expense for internal and external financial reporting.
- Respond to and resolve income tax notices.
- Oversee the research and development tax credit study in coordination with external advisors.
- Partner with business operations and external service providers on sales and use tax exemption issues or inquiries.
- Lead sales/use tax audits and property tax matters, including notice resolution and dispute management.
- Review and manage the sales/use tax and property tax compliance processes.
- Recognize potential tax risks and discuss with the tax director and external advisors.
- Collaborate with internal and external sources on tax savings/refund opportunities.
- Monitor tax legislation and determine financial statement and cash tax impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; CPA required.
- 5–7 years of combined public accounting and industry tax experience.
- Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in data analytics, Excel, and automation tools.
- Experience with tax software, One Stream, and ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
- Hybrid – 3 days in office
