A great UHY client is seeking a Lead Accountant, Investment Funds to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a CPA with some current / prior audit experience, experience with SEC 1940 ACT funds and fund accounting, as well as strong organizational and project management skills.

The Lead Accountant, Investment Funds position is hybrid. This is a client direct hire position.

• Prepare and oversee financial reporting activities, including coordination of annual audits and review of periodic financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and maintain required regulatory filings and officer certifications.
• Maintain disclosure controls and procedures to support audits and ongoing regulatory reporting requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Apply valuation methodologies in accordance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards.
• Monitor expense ratios and related limitation or recapture arrangements.
• Manage relationships-marker with third-party service providers, including administrators and custodians, to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Reconcile third-party records with internal systems, including cash and investment balances.
• Serve as a primary contact

• Support investment and portfolio management teams with exposure monitoring, compliance tracking, and ad hoc financial analysis.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and investment company regulatory requirements.
