Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analysts are responsible for consolidating and validating the actual budget and/or forecast of key performance metrics, key drivers and assumptions to aid in the development of various models. They will perform analysis resulting in value‑adding recommendations to various departments throughout the company. Additionally, they assist in the administration of various reporting systems, perform monthly analysis, and are responsible for other projects and ad‑hoc analysis as requested.
Job Duties- Manage accurate entity structure, data set and calculation in the budget/forecast system. (Essential)
- Create, maintain and ensure accuracy of templates within various system. (Essential)
- Coordinate portions of the annual budget process, consolidate results and review budget models for errors; act as a liaison between Operations, Acquisitions, Accounting and Finance regarding budgeting and forecasting. (Essential)
- Analyze financial and operational results versus forecast and plan, and forecast and actual; research variances and understand the root causes of the variance. (Essential)
- Maintain and provide support for various internal and external reporting models. (Essential)
- Monitor internal Labor Dashboards to ensure accuracy and research variances as needed. (Essential)
- Manage administration of various systems related to budgeting, forecasting, internal reporting, and public reporting. (Essential)
- Assist with the corporate cash flow modeling, and developing models and analyses to aid in the validation of existing forecasts; support strategic initiatives and assist with reviewing critical financial decisions.
- Develop key reporting within various systems to provide timely and actionable financial results.
- Participate in the forecast/budget software implementation and development; assist in evaluation and development of additional models.
- Attend various meetings to disseminate financial information as needed.
- Provide financial support to the Operations department as requested.
- Other duties and special projects as requested.
- Evaluate company systems and processes for accumulating and reporting data to provide value, adding recommendations to various departments.
- Work closely with other departments to understand and document variances between actuals and budget.
- Perform data analytics over large data sets, summarizing the information into executive level summaries.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of various models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and assist with reviewing critical financial decisions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
- 5 years in budgeting/forecasting experience (Required)
- Working knowledge of multiple budgeting techniques and budgeting tools/software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/budgeting software programs
- Prior experience with an accounting software conversion project, a plus
- Prior experience with Anaplan software, a plus
- Prior experience with Tableau, Yardi, Workiva, Netsuite, and/or Anaplan software, a plus
- Prior experience working at a Big 4 firm, a plus
